A young lip has a 1/3 to 2/3 upper to lower lip proportion, a well defined vermilion (lip roll) border, a gently up-sloped Cupid’s cup, and a soft pillowiness to the flesh. Some lips have visible tubercles in the mid lower lip and less commonly in the mid upper lip.
In our opinion, it is rarely necessary for a young woman to add volume to her natural lips.
